Welcome to SMS2012
On behalf of the Organizing committee for the 12th Meeting Symposium on Molecular Spectroscopy (SMS2012) taking place from May 18 to May 19, 2012 in Tokyo, Japan, we have the pleasure of inviting experimental and computational researchers on high-resolution molecular spectroscopy and other topics to attend the SMS2012.
In 2012, the symposium will take place in Tokyo, organized by the Atomic and Molecular Spectroscopic group at Sophia University, Tokyo. The venue of the SMS2012 will be the campus of the Sophia University at Yotsuya, Tokyo, which is located at the center of Tokyo. For detailes, please visit the "Access" page in the left menu.
Akasaka palace (Geihinkan, State Guest House) is located on the block next to our campus. From the campus, it's about 15-20 minutes by train to the downtown areas such as Shinjuku, Shibuya, Roppongi and Akihabara. For accomodation, there are several hotels near JR Yotsuya station and over 300 hotels in downtown Shinjuku.
The SMS2012 will begin on Friday, May 18, at 9 a.m. and will close on the evening of Saturday, May 19. There will be about 35 oral presentations with discussion and no parallel session. The social hour will take place at the cafeteria of the campus building of Sophia University on Friday evening at 7 p.m.
The registration desk is opened during the symposium and placed in front of the venue. The payment for the symposium registration and the social hour can be made by cash (in Japanese Yen) at the registartion desk. The abstract booklet of the symposium is included in the registartion fee. Lunch fees are not included in the registartion fee. Cafeterias inside the campus and many restayrants near the JR Yotsuya station are available in the lunch time.
Symposium on Molecular Spectroscopy was a domestic rather than an international meeting. This year, several scientists from Asia and USA of spectroscopy, molecular dynamics, and computational chemistry will participate in this meeting. We will also attempt to attract many younger scientists and students from every part of the world.
We are looking forward to seeing you in Tokyo, May 2012.
Nobuhiko Kuze, Organizer, SMS2012
