General Information
The Symposium on Molecular Spectroscopy in Japan started from 2001. The initial aim was to create a symposium where young scientists including graduate and undergraduate students can have more opportunities to give oral presentations.
In the previous symposium, two invited talks and 37 contributed talks were presented in the two days. 48 of 94 attendants were students. Most of the talks were given in Japanese, but most of the powerpoint presentations were prepared in English.
The main topics of the symposium is high-resolution molecular spectroscopy. We also welcome the following topics:
- Reaction dynamics
- Quantum chemistry
- Atmospheric processes
- Development of new spectroscopy techniques
- Quantum chemistry
- Atmospheric processes
- Development of new spectroscopy techniques
Welcome to SMS2013
On behalf of the Organizing Committee for the 13th Symposium on Molecular Spectroscopy (SMS2013) holding on May 17 and 18 of 2013 in Okayama, Japan, we are inviting the experimental and theoretical researchers on high resolution molecular spectroscopy and other topics to attend this SMS2013.
SMS2013 is organized by the Molecular Spectroscopy Group in Okayama University, located in the north central area of Okayama City, about 2.5 km from Okayama Station (the west exit). For detailes, please visit the "Access" page in the left menu.
We are looking forward to seeing you in Okayama.
